Galanga
Galanga is commonly used in Thai cooking as a flavoring. It is an essential ingredient in the Red Curry paste, Tom Kha Soup. Its inherently warming nature provokes better blood flow. It contains volatile oil which has therapeutic uses.
Ginger
Used in different forms as food, flavoring and spice. Ginger helps your body to produce more digestive juices and help neutralize the stomach acids that cause cramping, nausea and diarrhea. Ginger is also a natural decongestant and antihistamine, which makes it a natural treatment for head colds.
Kaffir Lime
Part of the citrus family, kaffir limes are used as a flavoring in Thai cuisine. It is used in red and green curries to add a refreshing tang and an aromatic taste. A diet rich in fresh citrus fruits can help your immune system work efficiently and effectively.
Kaffir Lime Leaves
Kaffir Lime leaves contain volatile oil and give a wonderful flavor to soups and curries. They are a key ingredient in red curry paste, and Tom Yum Soup and Seafood Soup.
Kra-Chai
These roots are used as a flavoring in our Green Curry. Some of its therapeutic benefits include the relief of stomach aches and stomach discomfort, antimicrobial properties, and antitussive agent relieving or preventing coughing.
Basil
Fresh basil contains folic acid. Basil is also a good source of vitamin A. Vitamin A can help prevent cholesterol from building up in the blood vessels. Magnesium is also present in basil. This essential mineral helps the heart and blood vessels to relax, improving blood flow. Other nutrients found in basil include iron, calcium, potassium, and vitamin C. Basil can be found in many of our spicy dishes.
Garlic
Garlic has great value as a long-term dietary supplement, helping to maintain healthy circulation, balance blood sugar and pressure, reduce fat levels in the blood, and improve resistance to infection. We use garlic in many of our dishes such as, Gra-tiem, Hot and Spicy, Vegetable Medley, BBQ Pork and Chicken.
Chillies
Chillies are used in all of our spicy dishes. There are many different species of chilies. All contain capsaicin, a biologically active ingredient beneficial to the respiratory system, blood pressure and heart. Chilies stimulate blood circulation and are reputed to help prevent heart disease and cancer. Chillies are also a great source of vitamin C.
Lime
The fruit contains Hesperidin and Naringin, scientifically proven anti-inflammatory flavonoids. It is an excellent source of vitamin C.
Lemongrass
It has antibacterial and antifungal properties. also is known for its calming effect that relieves insomnia or stress. The Lemon grass is a good cleanser that helps to detoxify the Liver, pancreas, kidney, bladder and the digestive tract. It cuts down uric acid, cholesterol, excess fats and other toxins in the body while stimulating digestion, blood circulation, and lactation. Coconut Milk
Coconut milk helps to lower bad cholesterol, while promoting good cholesterol. It also has immune-boosting power, and offers numerous other health benefits, including anti-aging. Coconut milk is used in most of our Curries, Tom Kha Soup and Chicken or Beef Stay.
Cilantro
Cilantro is used in our Beef and Shrimp Salads and used to garnish most of our dishes. Cilantro (also known as coriander) has traditionally been referred to as an "anti-diabetic" plant. In parts of India, it has traditionally been used for its anti-inflammatory properties. In the United States, coriander has recently been studied for its cholesterol-lowering effects.
